Diamond Dave and the Smoke Eaters

Diamond Dave and the Smoke Eaters are a alt-country, roots-rock band based out of Peterborough Ontario.

Lead by Diamond Dave Russell who is embedded in the regions vibrant roots and traditional music community.  Long time sideman for iconic Canadian artist Washboard Hank.   Over time Diamond Dave has penciled up a bunch of tunes, called in his musician friends and created the band.

The material is mostly made up of Diamond Dave songs and filling out the rest by covering lesser known Canadian songwriters that he has met along the way touring Canada.  Diamond Dave does not refer to himself as a songwriter.  Just a guy who's written some songs.

Diamond Dave plays rhythm guitar/harmonica, Sean Conway lead guitar, Jake Watson bass, Mathew Fines pedal steel, Mat Greco bass and Jimmy Breslin on keys.

Live shows are high energy, full sound, flashy solo's, 3 part harmonies and humorous stage banter.
